**Duties**:

- Performs a variety of tasks as a food service expediter performing several steps or sequences of tasks that require attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures
- In accordance with costumer's food orders processes and organizes food, arranges garnishes, checks food for appearance, quality, quantity and ensures proper presentation in accordance with instructions
- When necessary, restocks garnishments as needed, replenishes all food and beverage items on the buffet line, carries and changes out soda syrup and CO2 tanks
- Sets up buffet with service equipment, and breaks down buffet upon completion, returns excess food to kitchen and cleans buffet line area. Orders and advises kitchen personnel on food requirements for buffet.
- Delivers food to tables and accommodates guest needs after delivery of food. Packages take out food/beverage and delivers to rooms. Closes-out checks for payment of take out/delivered food.

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Light to heavy physical effort is required. Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Subject to continuous standing and walking and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending. May be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment.
- Must be able to work rotating shift, to include weekends and holidays.

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions, and be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines.
- **Best Qualifying Criteria**
Applicants who have food and beverage experience and one year of Army Lodging experience will be considered best qualified.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

- Must have skill and knowledge to perform tasks involving several procedures and to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions. A working knowledge of sanitation standards is required as well as knowledge of procedures to prevent contamination. Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals, such as counting the number of tables in order to determine the number of portions or meals required, or, how many servings a particular container will yield.

**PCS Costs**
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

**FWS Allowances and Differentials**
- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

**Foreign Overseas Allowances**
- Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
