Our Commodity Solutions Sales Unit at RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) has a large and growing customer base. Within Commodity Solutions Germany and Benelux, the Commodity Flow Desk (CFD) provides wholesale market access to different client sectors. The CFD acts as a professional, cross-commodity hub for external counterparties with relevant energy exposures, as well as a central interface for other customer services to green up the flow business (e.g. GoOs, EUAs and VERs).

To leverage our positive continental experiences and open the standard hedging potentials of UK I&C customers and aggregators for RWEST, we are now looking for a new team member to support the CFD UK growth initiative. This will involve investigating the customer potential, defining the required product set up and launching a focused reconnaissance wave.

Furthermore, these standard business contacts can facilitate Commodity Solutions UK, North
- & South-Europe’s origination business in UK and thus, further expand the business with PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements).

**Your responsibilities**
- Supporting and driving the UK growth initiative of the CFD.
- Groundwork for the required set-up with Legal, Compliance and Tax:
Investigating and assessing the business and customer potential, as well as establishing first business relationships.
Defining the required product set up
Launching a focused reconnaissance wave working hand in hand with the CFD in Essen and the PPA team in the UK.
- Developing innovative infrastructure and platform solutions to analyse the customer portfolio.
- Preparing and creating presentations and commercial analysis.
- Collaborating internally with other functions such as Trading Desks and Business Support teams.

**Your profile**

You will be Degree-qualified in Business, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent and be commercially driven and enthusiastic, with an entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.

You’ll also demonstrate the ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular with Proprietary Trading Desks and you’ll have a genuine interest in the Energy sector and sales / business development activities.

Other key requirements include:

- Ideally, operations experience of standard hedging of UK I&C customers and aggregators.
- Advanced programming skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to transfer knowledge between analysis and decision makers across other departments in Germany and UK.
- High levels of self motivation, creativity and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work and flourish in a competitive working environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to Germany and within the UK.
