**Job Description**:
**Customer Insights Lead - Retail Analytics for Jumbo supermarkets, Netherlands**
- Location is flexible around Europe with occasional travel to Netherlands if based in another country_

The Customer Insights Lead will provide thought leadership and best practice approaches in the field of Retail Analytics to support the implementation of client solutions and projects to build customer-centric strategies for NIQ’s Client (Jumbo supermarket) based in the Netherlands.

The person will be accessing, analyzing and interpreting customer and transactional data to facilitate the implementation of NIQ’s CRM Marketing, Insights and Collaboration solutions in collaboration with Jumbo.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Project execution; Lead and/or support analytical deliverables including requirements gathering and documentation, validation of input data, evaluation of analytical approach, validation of recommendations, interpretation of measurement/outputs and presenting results and recommendations to the client.
- Customer Insights; The position holder will act as a quality gate and will scope, execute and deliver ad hoc analysis to support the client on a range of business challenges. Results/outputs must leverage an analytically sound approach, providing the client with actionable insights including recommendations for process improvements and best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with both analytical and operational functions as well as with Senior management.
- Managing initiatives with a ‘get things done’ mentality and strong sense of ownership.
- Being able to make the right judgements, overlooking the integral set of initiatives.
- Ability to work under stress, sometimes due to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate leadership to support, develop and grow individuals within the team.

**A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- 5+ years of directly related work experience in Retailer / Marketing / CRM analytics.
- Proficiency in working with statistical and econometric models in marketing to support clients in preferably Retail and CPG areas.
- Background from working in other data-rich B2C industries can be considered
- Proficiency in using SQL.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
