Head of Human Rights

Lead the global Human Rights Management Team and oversee global development & implementation of the Human Right Strategy.
- Develop a strong communication and awareness campaign to educate our associates on the human rights program.
- Provide executive oversight into the progress of the program and priorities, and ongoing support for external reporting and investor relations enquiries in close collaboration with all relevant internal and
- external key stakeholders.**Your key responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Human Rights Strategy & Implementation: Responsible for developing and delivering on the Sandoz global human rights strategy, aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). Work with functions to embed Human Rights due diligence in the business (e.g M&A, IA, Procurement, Legal, Communications, HSE, P&O), conduct market and other human rights assessments, and develop risk mitigation approaches.
- Third parties: Identify key human rights risks in our third parties’ engagements and high-risk supply chains and develop appropriate remediation consistent with the UNGPs. Collaborate with relevant Third-Party Risk Management and Procurement teams globally to ensure internal alignment and effective roll-out of mitigation and remedial approaches.
- Engagement & Reporting: Accountable for Sandoz’s internal reports to the Executive Committee and Board Committees, investor relations; lead or participate in relevant internal working groups; oversee external reporting, external stakeholder engagement and collaboration in peer working groups, participation in conference events, speaking panels and webinars.
- Human Rights policies and guidelines: Continuously improve and update relevant guidelines, policies and position papers. Monitor and adopt emerging trends and changes in the regulatory environment, ensuring Sandoz will be compliant with new laws and regulations in various countries.
- ESG ratings: Contribute positively to ESG ratings through regular market screening and peer benchmarking and corresponding actions to pro-actively drive industry leadership
- Human Rights Champion: Be a champion of, and actively promote, respect for human rights in Sandoz business activities, including own operations, supply chains and surrounding communities and engage internal and external stakeholders in a champion network to promote human rights topics.

**Minimum requirements**
**What you’ll bring to the role**:
- Advanced degree in Human Rights, Law, Political Science, Public Policy. Human rights related course work is a plus.
- 5+ years demonstrated experience of Human Rights due diligence, social impact, and stakeholder engagement strategies in a global corporate environment.
- English, other languages are helpful
- Good interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player
- Self-driven, ability to drive change with a sense of urgency
- Stakeholder management: identifying natural sponsor, dealing with senior leaders, navigate through the matrix and cross-divisional teams
- Good knowledge of relevant Sandoz and international policies and procedures related to payments to physicians and caregivers
- Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner
