Ecologic Institute is a private and independent academic think tank dedicated to the task of working on relevant policy issues in the field of sustainability research and introducing new findings to environmental policy. Founded in 1995, Ecologic Institute is part of the Ecological Research Network (Ecornet) and closely linked to international networks like Think Sustainable Europe. Today, more than 100 staff members work in international and interdisciplinary project teams.

To support the institute´s scientific teams at our **Berlin location** (with the option of location-independent mobile work), we are looking for one

**Student assistant in the area of agri-environment-climate policy in the EU**

starting at the next possible date.

As a student assistant in the field of agriculture, environmental and climate policy in the EU you will support our team in researching content, writing reports and carrying out communication tasks primarily within EU projects with a focus on agriculture, pesticide reductions, climate mitigation and adaptation.

**Your responsibilities**:

- You will support our team with literature research and analytical work with a focus on pesticide reductions and nature-based solutions for mitigation and adaptation in agriculture.
- You will assist us in developing content and formatting reports and will be responsible for the management of our bibliographic database.
- You will support the preparation of workshops and project meetings.

**Our expectations**:

- You are an enrolled student with at least one year of remaining study time in a relevant Master's program such as agricultural economics, agricultural sciences, agricultural sociology, geoecology, geography, landscape planning, or environmental management.
- You have a keen interest in inter
- and transdisciplinary scientific work on topics at the intersection of agriculture, environment and climate.
- You have a sound understanding of the environmental impacts of agriculture.
- You have, ideally, already gained some initial experience and knowledge of agricultural policy.
- You have excellent knowledge of English in the areas of orthography, punctuation, grammar and expression.
- You are reliable and a team player.

**Our offer**:

- We offer you a student employment contract with a renumeration of 13.50 Euros per hour and a workload of 16 to 20 hours per week (basis for negotiation). The employment contract will initially be limited for one year.
