**Your tasks**:

- Define strategic approach, goals and targets for Global Tender Management team and align this across the regional teams.
- Define, manage, and implement global improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effective-ness of the Global Tender Management team.
- Lead, steer and manage the Heads of Tender Management in the regions
- Ensure a high-quality tender process including internal management of all matters of preparation, strategy setting, solutions design and bid submission for existing and target customers
- Drive continuous improvement and development of the regional head of TM job relevant skillset to enable them to deliver excellence
- Gather lessons learnt and best-practices and identify success factors for tender management on global level
- Keep abreast of relevant industry information, innovations, technology, and best practice to drive continuous improvement and shares relevant information with the Global Tender Management team
- Act as a central knowledge centre for tender management handling and processing on global level
- Aligns and collaborates with Heads of Tender Management in the regions to safeguard compliance with the Global Tender process and to ensure uniform internal / external customer experience when working with the Global Tender team across all regions.

**Requirements**:

- Pro-actively and independently acting
- A diplomatic and courteous personality
- Relevant experience in sales
- experience in tenders or procurement is a plus
- Understanding of air-/sea
- and-or land transport
- High sense for interdisciplinary (internal and external) collaboration and ability to align different stakeholders
- High affinity for provision of services / sales-oriented person/attitude
- Customer oriented attitude / Key Account interaction experience
- Negotiation skills
- Excellent analytic skills, ability to take helicopter view to see the bigger picture
- Understanding of company strategy and the ability to translate this in a pragmatic approach and steering of the department
- Ability to work under pressure - sense of urgency and "can do" mentality
- High level of self-motivation and flexibility
- Commitment to task and results focused
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent spoken and written English (business and presentation fluent)
