We are looking for a

**Student Research Assistant - ENGAGE Project (gn)**

part-time (10 hours per week). The contract shall commence as of 01 June 2023 or as soon as thereafter.

The Student Research Rssistant will work with Monika Sus, the Principal Investigator of the ENGAGE project. The ENGAGE project, which brings together 13 academic institutions and think tanks from across Europe, examines how the EU can effectively and sustainably meet strategic challenges by harnessing all of its tools to become a more assertive global actor.

Your tasks:

- Provide research assistance for the Horizon 2020 project "ENGAGE - 'Envisioning a New Governance Architecture for a Global Europe";
- Research various aspects of the EU external action, including EU security and defence policy, EU-NATO cooperation and strategic partnerships;
- Further tasks include literature and EU´s document search and review, documentation and communication of results; participation in meetings of an international research consortium; assistance in writing academic articles.

Your profile:

- Master's student, enrolled at a German university; Excellent command of English
- Familiarity with literature on EU is expected
- Readiness to work in this position until April 2024 - there is a possibility of transforming the position into a full time internship for a period from 3 to 6 months
