The research group, led by Prof. Dr. Natalija Novak at the Department of Dermatology and Allergy at Bonn University Hospital is investigating the contribution of skin dendritic cells to the development and maintenance of allergic diseases. The intended project is affiliated to the TRANS-FOODS project at the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung

(BMBF), and applies both descriptive and functional immunological studies of samples from clinical study cohorts, including methods such as:

- Isolation of immune cells (_e.g. _monocytes, T cells, mast cells) from blood, skin and oral mucosa
- Flow cytometry (_e.g. _allergen uptake assays, extra
- and intracellular marker expression, proliferation assays, basophil activation test)
- _In vitro _allergen stimulation of tissues and immune cells
- Immunofluorescence
- RT-PCR
- Immunoassays (_e.g. _ELISA, Luminex, LUNARIS)
- ImmunoCAP and Component-Resolved Diagnostics for studies of sensitisation patterns

**Ihr Profil**:

- Master of Science in life sciences, biomedicine or related fields
- Laboratory experience in, and extensive knowledge of, immunology
- Skills in statistical analyses and scientific writing
- Open-minded and enthusiastic team-player
- Strong commitment and work ethic
- Hands-on, flexible and self-motivated
- Fluency in English, German skills preferred but not required
