In this way, users make an active contribution to sustainability. The Kleinanzeigen market allows companies the opportunity to easily offer their services online. Kleinanzeigen was launched in September 2009 as eBay Kleinanzeigen. Since June 2021, the company has been part of Adevinta, a leading global provider of online classified ads. In May 2023, the name was changed to Kleinanzeigen.

What you’ll do & Who you are

Are you ready to shape the future of Germany’s #1 re-commerce destination?

As our new Head of Category Management (d/f/m), you will report directly to the management team of Kleinanzeigen.de and lead the transformation of our marketplace by establishing and executing a category specialization strategy that maximizes value creation across key consumer goods and services.

This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg.

What you'll do:
- Implement a category specialization strategy for key consumer goods and services, translating it into actionable plans across product development, pricing, and go-to-market initiatives to increase value creation per category in terms of supply and demand metrics as well as revenue.- Foster effective cross-functional and cross-business unit collaboration to ensure seamless execution of the category strategies across the organization and increase revenue by 3x over the next 5 years.- Manage category-specific strategic partnerships that unlock maximum potential for the marketplace in terms of supply, demand, value-added services and monetization.- Build up a team of senior category and strategic partnership managers and establish a cross-functional leadership team.- Be a key member of the Marketplace leadership team and collaborate on our way to become Germany’s #1 re-commerce destination.

Who you are:
- 10+ years of experience in relevant roles in (r)e-commerce, thereof 3+ years of experience in category management- 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager and in driving cross-functional delivery in matrix environment successfully- Proven track record of creating and maintaining impactful strategic partnerships- You can translate your strategic thinking into data-driven decisions and effective execution- You are able to take stakeholders from all areas of the organisation on the journey by building strong relationships and communicating effectively- Preferably in-depth knowledge of the German e
- and re-commerce landscape- Fluent in English, fluency in German a big plus
