Power Amplifier Designer

We are now looking for a committed and motivated Power Amplifier (PA) Designer for our growing pre-development team in Rosenheim, Germany, to drive our research and early technology development in the PA domain targeting 6G

**What you will do**
- Be part of a highly diverse team with varied strengths and take part in all kinds of activities that comes with the role
- Belong to a team that works on all horizons, to advance the state of the art in the area of highly integrated Multi Chip PA modules, integrating MMIC and IPD technology
- Work with senior engineers to identify and enable new technologies (active and passive) and design approaches, to enhance the state of the art
- Work with research/development of PAs for Ericsson’s future radio systems
- Have access to world leading characterization and prototyping facilities
- Work with people across multiple fields in radio development
- Work with innovation and adapt and respond to change
- Plan and prioritize your work
- Deliver results and meet customer expectations

**You will bring**
- A university degree: MS in Electronics or Engineering physics or equivalent
- Domain experience: Minimum 3 years or a PhD with experience within PA design is particularly advantageous
- Business understanding: It is meriting if you have experience from the telecom industry
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

**Core Proficiencies considered as a merit during the evaluation process**
- Demonstrated experience in working with PAs, able to discuss PA design and key requirements with transistor vendors, PA colleague/s from other Ericsson sites, universities or research institutes
- Experience in different PA modes, classes, and architectures is essential, experience with Doherty amplifiers is a plus
- Familiar with transistor technology (e.g. GaN) and different device vendors is advantageous
- Understand the PA design requirements in terms of stability analysis and thermal challenges is beneficial
- Experience with ADS, AWR, CST, HFSS or similar
- Familiarity with RF lab equipment (Vector Network Analyzer, RF Signal generator, Load Pull systems), including automating test equipment and test routines is highly welcome
- Experience with hybrid or multi-chip modules (MCM) or monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) design is another plus
