We are now looking for a committed and motivated Senior Power Amplifier (PA) designer for our growing pre-development team in Rosenheim, Germany, to drive our research and early technology development in the PA domain targeting 6G

**What you will do**
- Be part of a highly diverse team with varied strengths and take part in all kinds of activities that comes with the role
- Belong to a team that works on all horizons, to advance the state of the art in the area of highly integrated Multi Chip PA modules, integrating MMIC and IPD technology
- Identify and enable new technologies (active and passive) and design approaches, to enhance the state of the art
- Work with research/development of PAs for Ericsson’s future radio systems
- Have access to world leading characterization and prototyping facilities
- Work with people across multiple fields in radio development
- Work with innovation and adapt and respond to change
- Plan and prioritize your work
- Deliver results and meet customer expectations

**You will bring**
- A university degree: MS in Electronics or Engineering physics or equivalent
- Domain experience: Minimum 5 years or a PhD with 2 additional years of experience within PA design are particularly advantageous
- Business understanding, it is meriting if you have experience from the telecom industry
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

**Core Proficiencies considered as a merit during the evaluation process**
- Demonstrated experience in working with PAs, able to discuss PA design and key requirements with transistor vendors, PA colleagues from other Ericsson sites, universities or research institutes
- Experience in different PA modes, classes, and architectures, particularly Doherty amplifiers is essential
- Experience with hybrid or multi-chip modules (MCM) or monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) design is required
- Familiar with transistor technology and different device vendors, Gallium Nitride experience is a plus
- Understand the PA design requirements: stability analysis, thermal challenges, etc.
- Skilled in ADS or AWR. It is meriting if you have experience with 3D EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST, etc.)
- Experience with passive and/or active compact modelling in the GHz frequencies. All forms of modelling, including GaN transistor, PCB transmission line and EM stack up development, SMT component modelling or IPD/MMIC PDK development is a benefit
- Familiar with all kinds of lab equipment, including automating test equipment and test routines
