Systemiq orchestrates system change in clean energy, circular material solutions and sustainable land use. This means re-imagining our industries, re-configuring the world of energy, and regenerating the ecosystems around us. By addressing systemic failures in these areas, Systemiq aims to unlock economic opportunities that benefit business, society, and the environment.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer of the business, this role will manage a global team of currently 5 direct reports,

**Context**

“Building system change leaders” is one of Systemiq’s strategic anchors, with which we differentiate ourselves in the market. We believe that, ultimately, system change comes from people changing their mindset and behaviour, so Systemiq needs to build the capability to initiate and accelerate that process with distinctive knowledge, openness and resilience. At the same time, we want to ensure a safe, supportive and challenging work environment to attract and nurture diverse system change leaders.

**The role of the Academy Lead**:
Your role will be to further develop and strengthen the Academy, building on the foundation that has been built. Key accountabilities include:

- Work with senior leadership to ensure the Academy strategy is in line with the overall Systemiq business strategy
- Review and drive the Academy strategy and its value proposition, taking into account the requirements from the business as well as the latest insights on leadership development,
- Create a future-focused and effective global learning eco-system, which inspires and enables impactful development experiences and shifts in learning mindsets and behaviours,
- Partner with and influence the senior leadership of Systemiq, the heads of platforms, and the country leads to optimize Learning and Development (L&D) resources and integrate L&D into organisational practices to attract talent and build, retain and sustain a highly skilled, engaged, and thriving workforce,
- Partner closely with the HR Director to ensure the Academy’s underlying philosophy, activities, and priorities are in line with Systemiq’s overall people strategy and processes,
- Provide thought leadership and expertise on all things L&D
- Coach and support the Academy team to ensure their personal and professional growth and development,
- Co-create and lead/facilitate some of the courses the Academy offers, in particular in those leadership areas that reflect your personal strengths,
- Work with internal colleagues as well as external partners on the development and delivery of trainings,
- Evaluate opportunities for the Academy to partner with other institutions, including the creative use of technologies, in order to either provide a better learning experience to Systemiq staff and/or share Systemiq’s expertise and experience with others, and
- Think through company-wide initiatives beyond the standard learning curriculum that would further embed the topic of system change leadership in Systemiq in a tangible, practical way.

You bring the knowledge, skills, and experience to design and lead learning journeys for highly-motivated and qualified colleagues that work in complex environments, often project-based. You are inspired by Systemiq’s mission and approach to system change.

Specifically, you ideally come with a combination of the following mindset, skills, and experience:

- Passion for Systemiq’s mission,
- Deep understanding of L&D and capacity building practices, challenges, and trends, in particular with respect to creating a learning strategy, needs analysis, programme design, curriculum design, learning design and evaluation, and facilitation,
- Experience of working in a learning organisation and deep knowledge of how to strengthen the respective mindset and skills,
- Substantial experience (ideally 10+ years) in L&D (Training & Development), in an international role, i
