**The Role**:
Personio is growing rapidly. Along that growth comes the increasing demand for data to support decision making, set and track goals, predict the future, and automate processes. The expectations and requirements vary by departments similar to the used systems and data sources. We strongly believe that it is time to unify existing data functions across the business into one organization giving us a strategic edge.
As Director Data & Analytics, you will lead this company-wide transformation in close collaboration with senior leadership across all departments. You will further develop and hire a world class **team**, shape the most effective **organizational structure**, create strong **interfaces **within and across departments, build a powerful **data** **tech stack**, and establish the necessary **governance **mechanisms for data quality, consistency and security. Your efforts will result in improved data generation, usage and literacy across all departments and subsequently positively influence all core business metrics.

- You shape and champion a **holistic** **vision** **and** **strategy** **for leveraging data across Personio to make it a key success factor for future growth
- You seek **opportunities to leverage data across departments **to increase revenues, drive efficiencies and improve our customers’ experience
- You lead and grow **teams** **of** **data** **engineers,** **analysts** **and** **scientists** **that provides robust data flows, storing, tooling and data products
- You define and scale the **data platform / technology stack **to capture, extract, transform, load, model, store, visualize and operationalize data
- You **partner closely with senior leaders **across the organization to understand and support different departments’ business needs and manage their expectations to get their buy in on data strategy
- You implement **data** **governance** **processes** **to control data quality, usage, accessibility and auditability such as a central data catalog
- You collaborate with enablement teams on **data literacy and systems trainings **to ensure effective usage of data across the organization, unlock data confidence and insight building
**What you need to succeed**:
- You have successfully **scaled** **and** **orchestrated** **a** **global** **data** **function** **spanning across data analytics, engineering and science in a fast growing/changing environment
- You have **led both direct (central) and indirect (embedded) teams **through a compelling vision, strategy and goals You effectively **collaborated with senior stakeholders **and coached your team to do the same (for example during prioritization decisions, expectation management, introduce process changes to ensure data quality and consistency in various data sources)
- You bring a **deep understanding for specific B2B SaaS data challenges **such as reporting on complex subscriptions, 360 view of customers and identifying PMF gaps by streamlining various sources
- You work **highly** **collaboratively** **and** **enjoy** **finding** **common** **ground** **or better, enlarge the pie
- You are creative, open and communicative with very good written and spoken English (German and/or Spanish are a plus)
