**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Transportation and HAZMAT Specialist is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
- Plans, directs, or coordinates transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

**Required Qualifications**:

- **Three (3) years’ experience and a BA/BS degree.**:

- Experience in operating material handling equipment. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements; Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and personal safety equipment use.
- Fundamental knowledge of ITAR Compliance. HAZMAT certified for Transport, must have completed Army Training ad Requirements Resource System (ATARS).
- Experience in warehousing operations.
- Experience in receipt, accountability, and inventory of equipment in a technical field or military environment.
- Ability to determine logistic support sequences and time-phasing.
- Must be able to anticipate transportation problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors.
- Knowledge of shipping forms.
- Ability to conduct research or technical studies to support logistic functions.
- Must have professional communication skills in both verbal and written dialog while conducting daily business with vendors and other organizations.
- Ability to compile and update status reports, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with independent assignments.
- **Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed.**:

- **Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.**:

- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferable.
- Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
- Willingness to travel to hostile areas is desired.
- Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations.
- Willingness to deploy to all/any of these locations, including Southwest Asia and South-Central Asia.
- Some OCONUS deployments may be to risky hostile ("war zone") environments which earn larger bonuses.

**Security Clearance Requirements**:

- Must have an active ( **DoD) Secret **clearance.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
- Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to work in high noise areas.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
- Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
