**Duties**:

- Oversee the operation of the Motor Vehicle Control Section of the Transportation Motor Pool Branch, responsible for the daily scheduling of dispatches and control of non-tactical vehicles (NTV).
- Manage transportation operations, develop transportation plans, and prepare operating procedures for transportation motor pool policy implementation. Evaluate operations to ensure efficient use of the non-tactical fleet.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are followed. Interface with Interagency Fleet Management System to coordinate prompt vehicle maintenance with a minimum downtime. Ensure each vehicle is consistently inspected for safety and cleanliness.
- Gather data and prepare statistical reports. Issue hand receipts for vehicle equipment used by vehicle operators. Prepare a variety of materials (e.g., technical reports, briefings, tables, and charts) utilizing hardware and software systems.
- Rotate vehicles for maximum mileage utilization during the vehicle's life cycle. Develop work schedules based on mission requirements, peak loads, and manpower availability. Recommend the expeditious handling of priority transportation needs.

- Driving an automobile is required and a USAREUR driver?s license is required within 30 days of arrival on-site.
- The location of this position is in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Selectee will receive Temporary Change in Station (TCS) orders to Poznan or Zagan, Poland to serve a 24-month, unaccompanied tour.
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee passport and associated visa while assigned to a Federal civilian position in an area requiring a passport and associated visa, if authorized.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:

- **1) Scheduling and dispatching non-tactical vehicles for an organization; 2) Coordinating vehicle maintenance; 3) Ensuring vehicles are inspected for safety and cleanliness; AND 4) Preparing reports to ensure an effective transportation program.** This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).**OR**

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position.**OR**

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.**Education**:
**Additional information**:

- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- This is a(n) Transportation and Distribution Management Career Field position.
- Employees who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
- Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
