**Control of quantum reservoir engineering for robust state preparation (P8)**
In adiabatic master equations, the jump operators become dependent on external drives of the system. The goal of this project is to understand this dependence and use it to derive robust protocols to prepare useful quantum states, such as entangled states or squeezed states [project description P8]. **Efficient Tomography for Quantum Information Processing (P9)**

**Quantum Sensing with Many Undetected Photons (P11) **Quantum sensing with undetected photons is an emerging technique facilitating sensing with under-explored wavelengths like mid

**Requirements**:
**P(5)**: Comprehensive knowledge and several years of practical experience in quantum optics experiments, usually documented by several scientific publications, as well as advanced basic knowledge in the field of quantum information and communication are required. Practical experience in programming with LabView (or similar software) as well as the handling of closed-cycle cryostats and superconducting single photon detectors are desirable. Communication and team skills are expressly welcomed.
**P(6)**: Strong knowledge of and interest in theoretical physics; Good mathematical skills and good knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C++, Python, Julia)
**P(7)**: Strong background in the theory of quantum computation and quantum error correction.
**P(8)**: Excellent knowledge of the theory of open quantum systems. Desirable a background in theoretical quantum optics.
**P(10)**: Experience in quantum computing and secure quantum communication.
**P(11)**: Experimental experience in spontaneous parametric down-conversion highly desired.
**P(14)**: Programming experience.
**P(15)**: Ph.D. in Physics focusing on quantum photonics, integrated device design, fabrication, and COMSOL simulations. Work experience at interface of science and technology, innovation skills (e.g. patented ideas). Skills in III-V device design and fabrication, in optoelectronic device characterization. Expertise in Matlab, C++, and Python. Interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Creative, innovative, adept at problem-solving. Ambitious, independent, and goal-driven, open to new challenges. Excellent English (C1).
**P(16)**: Knowledge in nonlinear optimization and numerical optimization techniques as well as strong interest in innovative approaches and research questions in quantum computing, quantum simulation and quantum information.
**P(17)**: Previous theoretical experience in at least one of the fields of quantum many-body physics, quantum sensing, and/or open quantum systems, as well as strong numerical skills.
