Postdoc Position: Molecular Engineering of a Novel

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Iterative design, build, test cycle of genetic constructs to express RNA delivery proteins
- Testing of different cargo RNAs with a focus on CRISPR/Cas enzymes
- Exploring of novel approaches for cell type-specific delivery (e.g. by transmembrane protein engineering)
- Analysis of delivery efficiencies in different cellular models and benchmarking against conventional delivery technologies (LNP, AAVs)
- Writing of manuscripts and drafting of scientific illustrations

**Your Scientific Qualifications**:

- PhD in Bioengineering / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or related fields
- Good publication record, preferentially with first author publication
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of advanced DNA cloning techniques, including synthetic genes
- Experience in mammalian cell cultivation, genetic and/or protein engineering
- Hands-on experience in cellular assays and analytical techniques (e.g. Luciferase assays, Fluorescence microscopy, Immunostaining, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, etc.)
- Knowledge of Genome Editing technologies (e.g. Cas9, Cas13, Base Editing, Prime Editing, CRISPRa/i) is an advantage

Salary is in accordance with the collective agreement for the public sector (federal government). The position is initially limited to two years and should begin as soon as possible.
