**New Zealand Embassy: Team Administrator - Finance (parental leave cover)**

Are you highly motivated, organised and looking to make a key contribution to a busy international team? The New Zealand Embassy in Berlin is seeking a 14 month fixed-term (parental leave) Team Administrator (Finance).

The New Zealand Embassy in Berlin promotes New Zealand’s relationship with Germany, as well New Zealand’s relations with the Post’s accredited countries (Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Liechtenstein).

We showcase the best of New Zealand to Germany, support New Zealand business, foster cultural exchanges and build people to people connections.
- The responsibilities of the role are:_
- day-to-day financial management tasks
- financial reporting, tracking/ calculating of budgets to provide budget advice and the preparation of financial expenditure returns
- handling of sensitive data, such as payment of invoices and the monthly payroll procedure
- providing support when needed on other key Embassy functions, such as protocol, public correspondence, event, consular and HR matters
- this role will also cover a crucial period for the Embassy, with the implementation of new financial systems due to roll out during this time

The job involves substantial engagement with other Embassy staff, including the Ambassador and Deputy Ambassador, as well as local German authorities, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade staff in the New Zealand capital Wellington.

The New Zealand Embassy is looking for a focused, organised person, with a strong sense of commitment, responsibility and trustworthiness. The ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, is essential.
- You will have:_
- excellent knowledge of financial administration,
- relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent previous successful experience
- advanced German and English language skills (written and verbal)
- a strong interest in finance information systems is desirable
- a can-do attitude, and willingness to get involved on a wide array of work

You will need to be able to communicate clearly, manage financial and administrative tasks effectively, and be flexible, adaptable and resourceful in how you go about your work. A positive attitude and a good sense of humour will help you fit quickly into our team.

Annual starting salary for the position will be dependent on skills and experience.
