**About the position**:
Kiron’s Education team is responsible for providing digital education opportunities for refugees and underserved communities worldwide. Our work focuses on educational content creation and curation for our online learning platform, and finding ways to create a supportive learning community that brings together our students and educational partners. We are looking for a motivated student assistant to join the team as soon as possible to help us achieve our mission.

**As our Student Assistant, Learning & Curriculum Design**

You will be responsible for supporting the Education & Programs team in various projects - from research to content curation, including transferring educational content from storyboards to the back-end of our learning management system (LMS), and supporting occasional video editing, copywriting and translation work. You may be required to support the team with additional tasks depending on project needs. Training will be provided in all tools and methodologies.

**In this role, you will assist with**:

- Developing content for online courses e.g. research, storyboarding, technical implementation.
- Building interactive learning activities (flashcards, slideshows) using H5P templates.
- Creating short educational videos using a simple editing software.
- Project management, e.g. creating timelines, checking milestones, evaluating progress.
- Translating lesson materials from English to German / proofreading content in German.

**You will gain new skills and improve your knowledge in the areas of**:

- Learning Design.
- Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- HTML5 and H5P educational technology.
- Conducting Research.
- Translating (ENG->DE), Copywriting and Editing.

**About you**:
You are currently **enrolled as a student at a German university** for **6 months** and can commit between **10 and 13 hours per week**.

- Capable of **managing your own time and duties** and able to maintain an overview of numerous work streams
- ** Fluent in English**
- ** A native German speaker**

**and will likely have**:

- Experience writing and editing texts in German and English.

**Ideally, you might also have**:

- Tech skills like HTML, coding, general formatting, layout and design**Your compensation**:

- A transparent wage model provides the framework for salary decisions at Kiron. Student assistants are paid** 12 Euros **per hour, which** would increase to 12.5 Euros after one year at Kiron**.
