At the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology, the

following position at the Muscle Laboratory is available from the next possible date to be filled full-time,

initially limited to 3 years:_ _

Research Associate - post-Doc reasearcher (m-f-d)

Depending on the tasks assigned and fulfilment of the personal requirements, remuneration will be paid up

to pay group 13 TV-L.

Arbeitsaufgaben:

- Investigations regarding the pathophysiology of the (ageing) muscle
- Coordination of the biobank and quality management
- Development of quantitative assays
- Project development with international partners
- Collaboration in teaching of Master
- and PhD-students
- The position holder will have the opportunity to gain scientific qualifications.

Voraussetzungen:

- Completed scientific university degree in the field of biomedicine (biochemistry, chemistry, biology, phy
- sics, biophysics, molecular biology, neuroscience, molecular medicine) and PhD
- Scientist/neuroscientist with proven expertise in muscle physiology
- Expertise in histology, cell culture, immunoassays or mass spectrometry is of advantage
- Strong interest in developing diagnostic procedures for biological materials, especially muscle tissue
- Expertise in muscle pathology and mitochondriopathies is of advantage
- Excellent in English, Knowledge of German language is of advantage
