- sciences and biosciences, the Enlightenment, as well as in social and cultural research. The university is also

home to a range of small disciplines, some of which can be found nowhere else in Germany. The university

has excellent national and international ties, and works closely together with leading research institutes,

industry, and more than 250 universities around the world.

Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Faculty of Philosophy III, Institute for Pedagogy, Department of

commencing at the earliest opportunity and limited to three years

in part-time (75 %).

Remuneration is applied up to pay group 13 TV-L, depending on the assignment of duties and fulfilment of

personal requirements

**Tasks**:

- Participation in the research of the department on dealing with cultural diversity in schools and classrooms,

including classroom-based interventions and teacher education.
- Focused and continuous work on one's own qualification (PhD)
- Participation in teaching, especially in teacher education in the modules of educational psychology, as well

as in the supervision of theses
- Participation in academic services
- Support around conducting state examinations for teaching degrees

**Requirements**:

- Above-average academic degree in Psychology, Educational Science or social sciences (diploma or master)
- Knowledge in quantitative research methods and the motivation to expand one's own methodological

knowledge and skills
- Additional knowledge in qualitative research methods is an advantage
- Motivation to conduct applied research, and contribute to educational equity, especially concerning migra
- tion-related diversity
- Knowledge in empirical research in the context of migration and cultural** **diversity, as well as in theories of

social, cultural, and/or developmental psychology
- Experience in working with marginalized ethnic-cultural groups and / or people with refugee experience,

preferably children and adolescents, is an advantage
- Diversity competence, willingness to communicate in English and very good social skills for working in a

diverse, international team
- Knowledge of the language of origin of an ethnic-cultural minority (e.g. Arabic, Ukrainian, Turkish) is an ad
- vantage
- Basic German language skills and motivation to improve them are an advantage
