**Job Description**:
Area of responsibility:
As a manager, you will support employees and colleagues in all technical issues relating to the operational business. You will support your employees professionally and personally and provide them with advice and assistance. In addition, you will work with other managers and management on the strategic orientation of GfK GeoMarketing, e.g. identifying and implementing innovation topics.

In addition to leading your team and working closely with other teams, you will identify growth opportunities in the market, whether through cooperation with other areas of NIQ/GfK, through the use of new data sources or new tasks from our clients, and design strategies to exploit this potential in cooperation with the management.

As Teamlead Geodata Science (M/F/d) at GfK you are responsible for:

- providing content-related support to employees, colleagues and clients with inquiries regarding the conception, realization and implementation of geomarketing-specific solutions and geodata products
- professional and content related coaching of employees
- managing the team, production planning and optimization, representing the team and our expertise to internal and external stakeholders
- observing and evaluating technological trends, changing customer requirements and new data sources in order to adjust current processes, increase efficiency in production and expand product portfolio
- coordination of customer projects across teams
- University degree (MSc, PhD) in geography, geoinformatics, statistics, business informatics, sociology, psychology or similar with a strong focus on quantitative methods
- Ideally 10 or more years of professional experience in data analysis, data modeling and project management
- Experience in successful (technical) guidance and leadership of (project) teams, very strong communication skills
- inspiring, motivating and emphatic personality
- experienced with giving convincing presentations (internally and externally)
- ideally well-connected to other GfK/NIQ departments (Global Data Science, Global Marketing Science, etc.)
- Expert knowledge in R, advanced / expert knowledge in (spatial) data analysis (statistical learning, data visualization) and analysis in GI systems (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS) or in R (sf)
- Ability to critically reflect, interpret and present methods and analysis results
- Clear commitment to teamwork and a high sense of responsibility
- fluent in German and English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
