**Director Finance & Accounting (M/F/d)**

The Director Finance & Accounting will report directly to the CFO and be a critical member of the finance team. The Director Finance & Accounting will have responsibility for ensuring that all financial statements for the European Company and its subsidiaries are completed in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. The Director will also be responsible for the local legal requirements of these entities and all tax related issues. The Director will also ensure the Company’s core transaction systems and processes (invoicing/accounts receivable, accounts payable/cash disbursements, treasury and inventory) are managed in a manner to meet all growth goals.

**Your duties >>>**
- Prepare financial statements on an accurate and timely basis for all EU entities in accordance with US GAAP and local government requirements
- Manage the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day accounting activities of general ledger reporting, accounts payable, billing/invoicing, accounts receivable/customer collections and inventory, ensuring activities are completed on time
- Develop, improve, and issue timely reporting for AP and AR
- Develop collections policies and procedures to ensure optimal availability of funds
- Develop and improve budget and controlling processes
- Work closely with the CFO and US Controller and the subsidiary teams to document and improve internal control systems
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures
- Responsible for recruiting, selecting, and training finance, accounting and controlling employees
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Supervisory

**Your profile >>>**
- At least 10+ years’ experience accounting
- Advanced knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Knowledge of consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency exchange accounting rules
- Knowledge of controlling and budgeting practices
- Experience managing and coaching employees for high performance
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and willing to take initiative
- Fluent in English and German
