**To start as soon as possible, full time / part time, permanent
**As Head of Structures and Geoscience (f/m/d) **you report into the Director Engineering and will be responsible for the dynamic fields of offshore wind structures, civil engineering activities and geosciences areas. You will facilitate the development of these disciplines within RWE ensuring innovative competency and delivery from your department. Given the complexity of the area will it be supported by a Chief Engineer.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading a global organization according to RWE Essential Behaviours and give professional guidance in their activities such as:

- Deliver onshore and offshore site / ground investigation works including metocean, environmental surveys, geophysical and geotechnical investigations
- Deliver ground models, metocean reports and site condition assessment reports
- Drive digitalization and data management activities supporting geoscience and foundation design works
- Facilitate onshore civils design work for onshore substation and cable route including landfall and HDD requirements
- Deliver offshore structures designs for fixed bottom structures including substation foundation and substation topside
- Support the development and implementation of designs enabling deployment of new technology solutions
- Support the management of offshore assets in the operational phase of RWE’s offshore wind farms
- Work closely with the Chief Engineer Offshore Structures & Logistics for future technology roadmap, project development and stakeholder management
- Developing key engineering decisions during development, construction, and operations to ensure maximum value delivery
- Leading project related technical discussions in structures, civil engineering and geosciences related area
- Providing direction and guidance to the team and act as the Point of Contact for internal stakeholders

**Your profile**:

- Relevant educational degree and 10-15 years of Offshore Wind knowledge
- Extensive leadership experience a technical environment of which 5 years contained lead through leaders in a global matrix organization
- Experienced in working with expert teams with knowledge and skills outside their core competence
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Readiness to travel internationally on a regular basis
- Strategic thinking and 360° overview of Offshore structures technology and Geosciences in the offshore wind industry
- Ability to deal with competing interests and conflicts, committed to speak-up culture
- Holistic, innovative, and out-of-the-box mindset
