**Duties**:

- Conduct comprehensive and complex risk assessments, clinical interviews, and psychosocial assessment of children and adults.
- Make treatment recommendations to the multi-disciplinary Family Advocacy Program Case Review Committee team.
- Provide therapeutic treatment to victims, offenders and family members of those involved in domestic violence or child abuse or neglect.
- Analyze the information and use professional judgment concerning difficult decisions that may have serious consequences to the child or the family.

- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- May be required to work after hours on-call at the Military Treatment Facility Emergency.
- May be required to testify before agencies and/or in court.
- Incumbent has at least one year of experience or specific training in the field of domestic violence and/or child abuse neglect.
- This position requires a valid, state-issued and USAREUR Driver’s License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Command’s structure.
- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).

**Degree**:Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
- In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

- **Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized which includes in a family advocacy environment; assessing incidents of abuse, providing counseling to abusers or victims, and developing treatment plans or recommendations to those involved in abuse. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
- **License**: This position has a licensure requirement. You must provide a copy of your current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (Note: You must attach a copy of your license.)

- Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- This is a(n) CP-53 Career Field position.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
