Overview

ISS ESG seeks an experienced ESG Methodology Specialist to join our Global ESG Methodology & Quality Team. ESG Methodology & Quality is a horizontal function across all ESG research and solution verticals, ensuring high quality and consistency of methodologies, innovative solutions and gold standard in research and resulting signals.

Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of existing ISS ESG’s Regulatory and Fixed Income Solutions and drive the development of methodologies for new solutions;
- Serve as a knowledge hub on global ESG regulation, such as the EU’s and other taxonomies as well as emerging disclosure regulations in the EU, the UK, Hong Kong and other jurisdictions, and translate these into research and products which address our clients’ growing need for regulation-aligned data
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify existing data and solutions within ISS ESG‘s research and leverage these for our Regulatory and Fixed Income Solutions;
- Provide service/support to internal and external stakeholders in the form of explaining the methodology behind our solutions;
- Contribute to Thought Leadership pieces or other materials highlighting ISS ESG’s capabilities in supporting institutional investors in the fields of sustainable finance regulation as well as ESG in fixed income.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of relevant work experience, e.g. in ESG research, sustainable finance, regulation-related or ESG consulting;
- Degree(s) in related discipline (e.g. law, politics, finance, sustainability);
- Experience in working with ESG and/or financial data;
- Knowledge of international and regional standards, taxonomies and regulatory initiatives relevant to sustainable finance and/or expertise in fixed income investing are desirable;
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic work environment;
- Strong oral and written communication in English, advanced German language skills are a bonus;
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and conceptual thinking aptitude;
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to build a career in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment;
- Team based approach and aligned with ISS ESG mission, vision and values;
- Positive attitude and innovative mindset.
