Are you a seasoned group accountant with a knack for leadership and a love for a good night's sleep? We're an agile scale-up, emphasizing entrepreneurship, honesty, and building a high-performing team. Our mantra is "one team, one dream," and we're on the hunt for an exceptional Group Accounting Lead to join our Germany-based company with 25+ entities across the group.
**What you'll do**:
- Lead and oversee the group's financial accounting to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS.
- Manage and coordinate the consolidation of financial statements for 25+ entities, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Mentor and lead a team of accountants, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement (Team of 6 in Frankfurt + more in our other offices)
- Work closely with other local finance teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Develop, implement, and enhance internal controls and accounting policies.
- Streamline accounting processes and systems, optimizing the use of our ERP.
- Coordinate audit schedules, liaise with external auditors, and assist with tax and regulatory compliance.
- Drive data-driven decision-making through ad-hoc financial analyses and projects (in cooperation with our Controlling team)
- Be a proactive member of our entrepreneurial culture by sharing your financial leadership and problem-solving skills.
**Who we're looking for**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in group accounting with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- A sound knowledge base of IFRS is welcome.
- Proficiency in MS Business Central / MS Finance & Operations, with SAP SEM skills being a bonus.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of developing teams.
- A strategic mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- A team player with a "can-do" attitude, embracing our "one team, one dream" philosophy.
- Fluency in German is a plus.
