About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Lead Engineer to join our Group General Ledger team at Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software solutions for our SAP-based finance and management reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in the analysis of business processes, design, and programming of technical software solutions for our SAP solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability and resiliency of solutions through good conception and appropriate unit tests, performance tests, post-go live tests, and checks throughout the entire life cycle of the delivery.
  • Guide colleagues in ensuring the integration of high-quality solutions into existing processes and software solutions for our finance customers within the bank.
  • Support colleagues in solving problems with developments that arise in production as part of Service Level 3 coordination.
  • Design and program reporting solutions that enable our customers to create detailed analyses of financial figures that can be made available to the board of directors and top management as control information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a focus on IT or business administration or comparable training/professional experience.
  • Profound long-term professional experience in design and software development for the areas of group accounting/group planning or knowledge in setting up SAP BW solutions.
  • Experience in the design and programming of complex software solutions in the platforms SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM), SAP BPC, or SAP BCS.
  • Knowledge and experience with the SAP stack at Deutsche Bank are desirable.
  • Experience in the design and software expansion of reporting solutions such as SAP Business Objects, Tableau, or SAP SAC is desirable.
  • Experience in the programming languages SAP ABAP Standard or ABAP Objects and/or Microsoft.NET/Blazor/VBA and/or Python.
  • Analytical and technical competence as well as good communication skills in a multinational team and in collaboration with demanding internal bank customers.
  • Fluent English language skills are mandatory.
