**About the role**

The** Head of Financial Modelling (M/F/d) **will work in the Portfolio and Investments Department of Projects EMEA /APAC and will be responsible for developing, operating and improving best practice financial models to support consistent financial valuation of renewable energy projects globally.
Particularly during the first 12 month, the focus will be to harmonize financial modelling tools and to establish a global standard (set of) tool(s) for financial modelling and guiding assumptions. The team will support valuations where necessary and will be responsible to promote the global Analyst Network.
The **Head of Financial Modelling (M/F/d) **has a proven track record in building and operating financial models in the renewable energy context, used in different jurisdictions with the goal to efficiently achieve profound valuations for end-users.
The position will be based preferably at our headquarters in **Munich**. Remote working within Germany is also possible.

What You Will Do
- You will develop a plan to achieve a consistent valuation approach for all renewable energy projects in Segment Projects, including a single financial modelling landscape to be used internally and externally during the development, investment decisions and financing, including aspects like techno-economic modelling.
- You will realize the plan for a best practice financial model and roll it out to all legal entities globally.
- You will operate and improve the financial modelling landscape on an ongoing basis and provide efficient support to all model users to ensure a great user experience.
- You will develop and implement a teaching strategy for the model roll out and for long term operations.
- You will develop and maintain a landscape of tools and coherent process, e.g., a benchmark database and update process, to increase ease and quality of valuations.
- You will ensure quality control of valuation assumptions and modelling methodology across the Segment to ensure that they are robust and in-line with expectations.
- You will set RfI requirements, challenge RfIs and provide post-COD analysis for investment decisions together with Finance and Investments, IPP and other functions.
- You will be the interface with other business functions, particularly project management, business process management, as well as Finance and Investments, to implement streamlined processes in the financial modelling set-up.
- You will work with the Digitalization Teams and Portfolio Intelligence Team to make dataflows from the financial modelling landscape to the portfolio database seamless and as effortless as possible for LEs while providing enough data to LEs, Business Functions and Senior Management to take the relevant decisions.

Your Profile
- An excellent university degree in Finance, Business (Informatics), Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
- 6+ years related work experience, first experience in leading a functional team of experts in a matrix organization is a plus.
- Strong knowledge and experience of building and operating financial models in Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial models in other technological set-ups is a plus.
- Sound understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow statements in renewable energy projects.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of data-driven business needs.
- Strong capabilities in financial analysis, strategic and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners and ability to translate complex information into key messages.
- Experience in leading, rallying and creating a vision for a team of highly ambitious professionals.
- Experience in change management, bridging teams and integrating cultures into a productive work environment.
- A pro-active and hands-on approach to challenges and getting things done mindset.
