Director Contract Management

**Department**:
Construction is responsible for installing, commissioning and finally handover of wind farms to our customers. Working closely together with the customer and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure this happens safely, cost efficient and with a high-quality standard.
Contract Management department within NCE Construction is responsible for overseeing the turbine supply agreements execution, safeguarding Vestas' rights under turbine supply and supplier agreements, assisting with resolving disputes and overseeing changes to the scope, schedule and budget of these agreements.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement an effective contract management strategy to support the organisation's goals and priorities
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial request through negotiation, execution, and contract closeout
- Lead a team of contract managers and specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal, finance, operations, and procurement teams, to ensure alignment on contract terms, conditions, and risks
- Review and assess contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with suppliers, vendors, clients, and partners to achieve favorable outcomes for the organisation
- Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures, and templates to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, working closely with relevant stakeholders to address any issues or disputes that may arise
- Conduct periodic contract reviews and audits to ensure adherence to contract terms, identify risks, and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to contract management
- Provide training and guidance to employees on contract management principles, practices, and tools
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting contract performance, risks, and opportunities
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, contract management, law, or similar
- Extensive experience in contract management, including contract negotiation, drafting, and administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract law, legal terms, and contract compliance
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team and leading complex contract management initiatives

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and balance responsibilities effectively

Primary work location: Hamburg - Germany but also open to Aarhus - Denmark, Malmo - Sweden, Warrington - UK
Expected travel: approximately 100 travel days per year
