**Job Description**:
GDIT has an exciting opportunity to participate in the SAG-U as a member of our Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) program supporting U.S. Army Europe and Africa’s (USAREUR-AF) mission. We are seeking a System Administrator (Shift) to support 24/7/365 operations in Wiesbaden, Germany.
This position is part of a shift work schedule which includes coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT- Troubleshoots system hardware and software issues.- Coordinate PMCS activities, streamlining preventative strategies in conjunction with service providers.- Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.- Administer a mixed environment of Windows and Linux servers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance and security.- Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)-
- Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.- Understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to support the management of Security Controls in systems within our environment.-
- Requires shift work, weekend, and holiday coverage as required by mission demands.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED- Security Clearance Required: A DoD Top Secret security clearance.- Education: BA/BS or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/government systems administration experience preferred.- Required Experience: 3+ years of experience.- Certification: DOD 8570 IAM Level II Certification-
- German TESA eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced industry certifications such as MCTS Server Administrator, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent.- Robust understanding of networking principles and fundamentals.

The likely salary range for this position is $76,500 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
