GDIT is seeking a Windows System Administrator (Shift) to support 24/7/365 operations in Wiesbaden, Germany supporting U.S. Army Europe as a member of our
EMITS Program Team.
This position is part of a shift work schedule which includes coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP)
- Troubleshoots system hardware and software issues.
- Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions.
- Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
- Conducts basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning longterm strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: BA/BS or equivalent
- DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
- Security Clearance Level: Active Secret Level Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain a German Technical Expertise Status Accreditation (TESA)
