In order to support the Safety & General Environment team, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a

**Master student (d/f/m) in the field of Safety & Environment for the topic "Big data and Artificial intelligence to accelerate design analysis"**:

- Location: Donauwörth
- Start: as soon as possible
- Duration: 6 months

The aircraft manufacturing industry is entering a revolution. That means wonderful opportunities for Airbus but also big challenges in a very competitive landscape. In the frame of our company-wide project, one initiative is to explore the use of Artificial intelligence, Optical Character Recognition, Large Language Model (LLM) and other new technologies to accelerate development lead-time by automating tasks and analysis.

In the design office, thousands of analyses and documents have been produced over the years to address various modifications on the aircrafts. The ambition is to use new digital technologies to “crunch” the capitalized data, fine-tune AI models and propose automatic solutions and analysis to the engineers.

**Your location**:
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Reviewing literature and proposing an overview of existing AI based technologies.
- Defining and proposing a technical strategy to reach the ambition on a dedicated use case.
- Develop a complete chain customized to this use case and demonstrate added value.

**Desired skills and qualifications**:

- Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the field of computer science, big data, AI or a comparable field of study.
- Initial practical experience is desirable.
- Very good knowledge of programming and computer science (mastery of various big data and AI technologies).
- Intercultural competence, ability to work in a team and solution-oriented way of working.
- You are open to learning new skills.
- Language skills: English - business fluent.
