Your Mission
- Collaborate with management team, HR and business stakeholders in the development and implementation of works council related strategies and initiatives, and consulting/training them on works council and co-determination issues.
- Identify the issues and categories that are critical to works council management and develop appropriate communication strategies.
- Build trusting relationships with management and works council members to support labor-management relations and promote a harmonious and productive workplace.
- Be the first point of contact with the works council and be responsible for preparing, conducting, and following up negotiations with the works council (e.g., company policies, performance/salary review, overtime, etc.).
- Manage multiple complex industrial relations initiatives simultaneously, managing timelines, identifying legal and operational risks, and communicating these clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide advice to the HR team and internal stakeholders on general employment law, data protection and various corporate legal issues including but not limited to hiring, termination, performance management, salary reviews and promotions.
- Ensure that our HR practices and policies are fully compliant with relevant legislation.
- Assist in the resolution of HR-related legal issues and disputes to maintain a high standard of ethical and legal conduct.
- Acting as an in-house expert, respond to complex individual and collective employment law and collective bargaining issues, manage their implementation with stakeholders and, where necessary, prepare the resulting policy decisions.
- Maintain accurate HR records, ensure compliance with data protection regulations, and manage ad hoc requests.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and implement necessary updates to our HR policies and procedures.

Your Profile

**Educational background**:

- A university degree in law (1st and 2nd state examination) / business law with a focus on labor law or a comparable qualification is required.

**Experience**:

- Several years of relevant professional experience and very good knowledge of individual and collective labor law, ideally gained in a corporate context or in a law firm with a focus on labor law.
- Alternatively, you will have at least 5 years' professional experience in human resources with a sound knowledge of labor law. Ideally, you will have worked in labor relations or as an in-house employment lawyer/labor relations expert.
- Proven and extensive knowledge of individual and collective labor law and familiarity with working with co-determination bodies.
- Knowledge of labor policy/strategic advice and support on all HR and labor policy issues.
- Experience in presentation, training, and lecturing.
- Experience in using the Microsoft Office package.

- You have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term trust and work effectively with employees, managers and works council members.
- You will have analytical and conceptual skills as well as an independent and structured way of working.
