Welcome, my name is Larissa, I am the Head Coach at Rocycle We are looking for instructors to join the team in our studio in Hamburg. Super excited to have you considering the ride of a lifetime with us.
At Rocycle, we get the chance to inspire people, every day, every ride. Our studios are a place where everyone is welcome, free to be themselves and explore how incredible it is to move their body. As a Rocycle instructor, you are creating that space for people. You encourage the room to challenge themselves physically and mentally, in a way that fits what they need from the room. We lead. We energize. We inspire.
So, what's a week in the life of a Rocycle instructor look like? You’re on that bike, setting the rhythm for the room. We usually teach in 2 class blocks, 3-4 days a week on a fixed schedule. And we believe it is so important to give you space to unlock your creativity You'll start with our Foundation Framework, curating your playlist and moves. Expect to spend around 4 hours a week getting your flow just right.
To inspire the room, we are always looking to first inspire ourselves. Whether it is through incredible conversations with our friends, listening to mindful podcasts or reading, we are on the lookout for that next theme for our rides.
**Your qualifications**:
First and foremost, we are looking to see you on that bike. With energy and love for celebrating your body through movement.
We look for minds that are curious, open-minded and with a growth mindset.
For humans who believe that self-love is the road to finding real joy in life and that the narrative of “summer bodies” should be left in the 90’s. We often attract those with a performance or sports background, but experience is not essential.
For those who take their work seriously; are on time, work well within a team and are reliable.
**What we offer you**:
We offer each instructor a training program, our 4 week training program is designed to give you the space to begin growing into the incredible rhythm cycling instructor we see in you. Guiding a room of 70+ humans through a fitness concept is a big responsibility, so we invest this time in sharing with you what you need to know to deliver not only a magical Ro’ride, but a safe one.
The training program runs as follows:
The first two weeks:
- Are full time training weeks, meaning that you will be training 4 - 5 weekdays between 13:00 - 16:00. You will be in the studio for 1,5 hours of each training session and workshopping for the remaining 1,5 hours.
- Online learning modules to learn the craft, at your own pace from home. Access to these will be given to you before the training begins.
- Expect that training these weeks will take approximately 30 hours per week
The second two weeks:
- 2 x weekday in studio sessions per week from 13:00 - 16:00, the last session being your Community Ride.
- We ask that you participate in 4 rides per week so that you can learn from the existing instructing team and see how they put your learnings into practice.
- Expect that training these weeks will take approx 15 hours per week.
The training will challenge you, mentally and physically. It is a catalyst for growth, and at Ro we love growth Not all moments will be easy, but every moment is definitely worth it.
The training program is intended to provide you with the tools needed to teach a Rocycle ride, but does not guarantee employment.
We also offer ongoing innovation, support and training as you continue your journey as a Rocycle Instructor.
- You have a flexible schedule. We are looking for availability during the day, and also on weekends (as an instructor, not just during training).
- You can teach a minimum of 6 classes per week (an example: Tuesday 09:00+10:00, Friday 17:00+18:00, Sunday 11:00+12:00)
- You don't have holidays planned longer than 1 week for the upcoming 4 months from training start
