**Postdoctoral Fellow (M/F/d) - Tumor Immunology**

The research group ‘Gynecologic Tumor Immunology’ investigates mechanisms of immune infiltration in gynecological tumor diseases with the aim to improve immune intervention and thus the therapies currently in clinical trials. The research focus is on chemokines and their receptors, which on the one hand help to combat tumor growth by the immune system, but on the other hand can be exploited by tumor cells to form metastases. We use both syngeneic mouse models and established _in vitro_ models together with omics approaches supported by an extensive and well curated tumur tissue bank. Thus, we can offer a spectrum of methods in the projects, from the biochemistry and cell biology of chemokines and their receptors, to their function in cancer models, to validation studies on patient samples.
We offer a challenging experimental work funded by the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) in a nationally and internationally well networked team on current issues in cancer research with the following topics:
- Tumour immunology of breast and ovarian cancer
- Resistance mechanisms to targeted drugs such as PARP and immune checkpoint inhibitors
- Molecular basis of gynecological tumours
- Biomarkers for therapy planning in breast and ovarian cancer
**Your profile**:
- University degree (Ph.D., Dr. rer. nat. or equal) in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, or molecular biotechnology
- Practical experience in the field of molecular biology, immunology, or protein research; previous experience in mouse models is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for translational cancer research and for the development of translational research projects
- Experience in project management is beneficial
