**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**:

- You have extensive experience (15+ years) of IT Infrastructure and an AWS Certified Professional on expert level with a proven track record in designing distributed and reliable infrastructures on a large scale
- Infrastructure (AWS): Direct hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise business software at scale in Linux-based systems
- You have strong experience in building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and incorporating DevSecOps concepts into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
- You have expertise in using IAC frameworks e.g. Terraform and CloudFormation; automated build scripts using popular programming languages e.g. Python, Bash, Ruby, Go; version control source code repositories e.g. Git, SVN, Bitbucket; CI/CD deployment servers e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Bamboo or TeamCity
- You have knowledge about IP networking, firewall and VPN architectures, DNS, and service delivery through load balancing techniques
- Having experience in managing relational databases in a multi-tenant environment, including backup, restore, replication and performance tuning is beneficial
- Experience of implementing seamless SSO solutions using SAML, OpenID Connect or Okta is a plus
- You have effective communication skills in English and the ability and eagerness to understand the business context wherein the team operates and the customer problems are solved

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- As part of the Engineering Foundation, you'll join a professional Software Architecture team and bring a strong focus on IT infrastructure, security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- You collaborate with the Product, Engineering and Central Platform Services teams to improve automation and DevSecOps practices. Accelerate our progress in achieving the ISO 27001 certification and meeting our DORA metrics targets
- You establish a community of practice, facilitate communication exchange to improve our teams' overall understanding of AWS and automation and thereby continually improve our daily work
- You provide technical consultation, guidance and leadership to Engineering teams and Product Managers, as well as coach and oversee architectural concepts, technical decisions and assist in maximising our return on investment for AWS services
- Lead R&D initiatives, research and keep up to date on new technologies that could benefit the organisation, providing roadmaps that show how the organisation will move towards a certain future state
- You establish a firm and unambiguous set of technical principles and standards, support your colleagues in technology selection, evaluation, and adoption as part of the Tech Radar process
- You devise and build migration plans to cloud-native services in a multi-tenant environment, offer alternatives where applicable
- You can identify areas of the infrastructure that require increased resilience, as well as opportunities to scale the adoption of existing infrastructure solutions or initiate new ones, with focus on making our teams or systems more efficient
