Do you want to work on innovative concepts for industrial CO2 emission reduction and see what would work best? In the Carbon2Chem project, our Sustainability Assessment group is working on life cycle assessments of different concepts. As part of your master's thesis, you will simulate and evaluate two design options for amine-based CO2 capture.

**What you will do**
- Simulation of an amine scrubber for CO2 capture of the CO2 produced when heat is supplied to the amine scrubber
- Simulation of an amine scrubber for CO2 capture when heat is provided by electrical energy (electrode boilers or heat pumps)
- LCA-based comparison of the above scenarios

**What you bring to the table**
- You are studying process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Ideally you have already worked with Aspen Plus
- Knowledge of life cycle assessments (LCA) is an advantage
- Positive and curious attitude to develop and implement own ideas and questions
