- Your future in detail

CECAD is an inclusive, equal opportunity employer that offers attractive conditions and benefits commensurate with an international research organisation with a very collegial and family-friendly work environment.

The Ising lab is located in the CECAD Research building and as Junior Research Group part of the SFB 1403 on “Cell Death in Immunity, Inflammation and Disease". We are investigating the role of cell death and senescence as part of the neuroinflammatory response in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases collectively termed tauopathies. Our overarching goal is to identify underlying molecular mechanisms in tauopathies to ultimately contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies. We are combining cell culture work with mouse models, which we analyze with a multitude of techniques including but not limited to Western Blot, flow cytometry, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, secretomics and behavior tests.
