- Your tasks

The MANIAC (Mapping Autonomic Neural Interaction and Control) is a University of Cologne Emerging Group funded via the Excellent Research Support Program (ERSP). The aim of the group is to foster inter-faculty projects on brain-body interactions and the autonomic neurosciences within the next three years. The Post-Doctoral Scientist is expected to support the scientific coordination and administration of the group and conduct own research with a focus on meta-analytical studies on neuroimaging and psychophysiological data.
- Your Profile
Completed PhD in Psychology, Biological Sciences, Neuroscience or a related field
Prior experience in meta-analytical studies with a focus on neuroimaging and psychophysiology
Programming skills (R, MATLAB, PsychoPy etc.) are desired
Track record of prior publications in international peer-reviewed journals
Good English and German language skills
Experiences in project management and administration
Good team and communication skills, ability to work independently

The group is located at the Medical Faculty and composed of the Principal Investigators Prof. Alejandre Alcazar (Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine), Prof. Brüning (Endocrinology, Diabetes and Preventive Medicine &. MPI for Metabolism Research), Prof. Daun (Institute of Zoology), Dr. Hanßen (Endocrinology, Diabetes and Preventive Medicine), Prof. Korotkova (Institute for Vegetative Physiology), Prof. Peters (Department of Psychology, Biology Psychology), Prof. Tittgemeyer (MPI for Metabolism Research), Prof. Vehreschild (Department I of Internal Medicine), Prof. Winkels (Department of Cardiology), and Prof. Koenig (Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics). The Post-Doctoral Scientist will work closely with Prof. Dr. Julian Koenig, the speaker of the group.
