You will be working on the project "Inflammatory Mechanisms and Myeloid Cell Biology in Cardiovascular Disease ".
Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death globally. Inflammation fundamentally contributes to cardiovascular disease development and progression. We will compare inflammatory mechanisms and distinct cellular signaling in a select group of cardiovascular disease entities. Next to in-vitro technics, we use various in-vivo methods and mouse models. Our group is particularly interested in myeloid cell biology in the context of cardiovascular disease.

Laboratory experience & basic laboratory skills
We are looking for a highly motivated young scientist with a Master’s degree in Medicine, Biology, or comparable specialties. The Ph.D. fellowship position is funded by the German Research Foundation and is initially limited until april 30, 2025. We are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
