Your contribution
You will lead the EMEA Communications organization to develop, implement and support Clarios' internal and external communications. The objective is to ensure a communications strategy for Clarios that promotes its business objectives and importance as a relevant employer in the region. There is a direct reporting line to the EMEA management team. Last, but not least, you will work very closely with the global communications team. The role will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hannover, Germany.
Responsibilities: What you will do
- Lead the communications team in the region for all business units as a strategic partner and resource to local management.
- Participate as an active member of the Clarios Communications leadership team in the development of strategies, initiatives, action plans and functional capabilities for the organization as a whole.
- Develop and implement tailored communications strategies to support Clarios' communications strategies and business objectives within the EMEA region.
- Ensure awareness of and monitor compliance with Clarios communications policies and relevant brand guidelines within the region.
- Work closely with the Global Communications team, business unit marketing teams and approved external firms to manage regional media relations and events as required.
- Manage technology and digital communications activities internally and externally across the region.
- Main liaison with colleagues in other Clarios EMEA business units to ensure appropriate alignment and information sharing on relevant communication topics and content within the EMEA region.
- Collaborate with regional business leaders and HR in the development and execution of appropriate employee communications programs, announcements, etc. for plants, sales offices and headquarters locations.
- Ensure effective crisis communications as needed, working closely with local management and global communications leadership team.
- As needed, sponsor and lead assigned global projects involving common goals related to business strategies or functional initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related curriculum. MBA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive Communications, Marketing or related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience working in a matrix driven organization is preferred.
- Fluency in English and German is a must
