The Global People Operations team, classically known as HR, strives to create and deliver the best possible and seamless employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. You are detail oriented, data focused, an experienced communicator and have a passion for people-related topics. Working in the People Operations team at N26, you'll help us deliver an outstanding employee experience by giving our colleagues the resources and support they need in the most important moments of their N26 journey.

**In your next challenge, you will**:

- Lead the People Operations German team and ensure that goals and quality standards are achieved and that there is committed and productive cooperation.
- Lead, coach and guide the German People Operations team providing support, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively, promote professional development, and encourage a high level of employee engagement and motivation.
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including but not limited to onboarding, absences, visa, mobilities and offboarding.
- Act as the primary escalation point for overall service delivery and internal team support and create team SLAs.
- Ensure the smooth running of our HR services and processes and continuously improve them.
- Lead projects from conception to implementation to evaluation and continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits and lead necessary improvement measures related to compliance (both internal and external audit). Set up internal controls and execute them with agreed frequency.
- Hold vendor management accountability ensuring consistency, reliability, integrity, timeliness and compliance of delivered services.
- Partner with multiple internal teams to define and monitor compliance and reduce risk (prioritising regulatory compliance, data integrity and protection, etc.)

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Extensive 5 years experience working as a People Operations partner/specialist directly interacting with the C-level or top management circle; ideally with min. 2 years of leadership experience. Having worked in a startup is a plus
- Passionate about People Operations and lead by example and previous experience coaching, training and developing teams.
- Understand that resilience, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence are key aspects to drive impact.
- Extensive practical experience with German labour law and regulations and ideally previous experience with employee representation bodies (works council).
- Strong project management skills and ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent knowledge of German and English languages.
- Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
