**Deine Aufgaben**:

- und Entwicklungsumfeld durchführen möchten. Mit mehr als 450 Forschern ist unser Hautforschungszentrum in Hamburg eines der größten und modernsten in Deutschland - und eines der wichtigsten weltweit. In unserer Mikrobiom-Forschungseinheit analysieren wir das Mikrobiom der Haut und seine Rolle in der Hautbiologie mit modernsten NGS-Technologien in Kombination mit kulturabhängigen Ansätzen.

Ihre Aufgaben:
Ziel der Doktorarbeit ist es, das komplexe System der mikrobiellen Gemeinschaften der Haut und ihre Interaktion mit dem menschlichen Wirt zu untersuchen und neue Behandlungsansätze für verschiedene Hautkrankheiten zu identifizieren. Das Projekt kombiniert ein breites Spektrum an biochemischen, mikrobiologischen und "omics"-Techniken, einschließlich der Aufreinigung und Downstream-Analyse bakterieller Peptide, Sequenzierung, Bioinformatik sowie Anreicherung und Charakterisierung von Hautmikroorganismen.

Der*Die erfolgreiche Doktorand*in wird:

- mehrere (vergleichende) genomische Analysen durchführen
- physiologische Experimente mit Hautmikroorganismen durchführen
- Identifizierung von Ansätzen zur Veränderung des Hautmikrobioms
- Optionen für neue Hautbehandlungen entwickeln

**Dein Profil**:

- Master-Abschluss in Mikrobiologie / Biochemie / Molekulare Biowissenschaften oder einem verwandten Bereich
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in Mikrobiologie / mikrobieller Ökologie / Biochemie
- Erfahrung in mikrobieller Genomik / Analyse von NGS-Daten / Bioinformatik
- Idealerweise vertraut im Umgang mit großen Datensätzen
