We are looking for a bench scientist with the motivation to support routine bioanalytical work and in parallel expand the bioanalytical toolbox in our DMPK department.

That means:

- You will be responsible for performing routine NBE and NCE bioanalysis from biofluids and tissue from pre-clinical species including report generation
- You will also take a leading role in developing mass spec-based quantification methods to characterize NBEs and NCEs while helping to shape the analytical workflows to improve sample throughput and speed in parallel to data quality
- As a member of the bioanalytical team within DMPK you will be able to benefit from the team’s strong background in analytics and state of the art technologies while expanding this knowledge to upcoming new moieties
- You will work in cross-functional teams with colleagues from other AbbVie sites to align the development of analytical methods for pre-clinical projects.
- As a bench scientist you will closely follow the technological landscape in the bioanalytical field and test new methods and instrumentation, including automation and digitalization of workflows

This is how you can make a difference:

- You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience or Master's degree or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or a related field. Professional training may be substituted with appropriate equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience as an Associate Scientist.
- Ideally, you have hands-on experience in mass spectrometry and at least 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- You have experience in working with NBEs and NCEs and their quantification from biofluids and tissue
- You have strong experience in the control and in the daily maintenance of UPLC- triple quad and -high-resolution mass spectrometers (QTOF) systems
- You are skilled to analyze and present data in broader context and eager to defend data during scientific debate
- Experiences and affinity to digitalization and automation to support process improvements is a plus.
- As a highly motivated, self-driven and results-oriented person with excellent communication and presentation skills you are driven by innovative ways of thinking to improve processes, methods, systems, products or services
