**The Role**

For our **Global Sensory & Consumer Science **team in **Hamburg**, we are looking for a **Senior Researcher (Focus on Consumer Research) (M/F/d)**

**Position Overview**:
As a Senior Researcher in our Sensory and Consumer Science Team, you will play a key role **in leading and conducting consumer research activities** to gain valuable insights into consumer preferences, behaviours, and experiences. Your primary focus will be on understanding consumer perceptions, preferences, and decision-making processes related to our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product development, innovation, and marketing strategies based on consumer insights. The position requires strong research skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Design and Execute Consumer Research Studies**:

- Develop research plans and methodologies for consumer studies, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Design experiments, surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other research activities to gather consumer insights.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align research objectives with business goals.
- **Research Proposals and Costs**
- Develop requests for proposals in alignment with research objectives and internal stakeholders and share with research suppliers
- Negotiate with supplier adjustments of research proposal until ideal setup is achieved
- Recommend supplier selection
- **Conduct Data Collection and Analysis**:

- Oversee data collection processes, ensuring high-quality and accurate data is obtained.
- Analyse consumer data using statistical techniques, qualitative analysis, and other relevant methods.
- Interpret and present research findings to identify key consumer trends, preferences, and opportunities.
- **Consumer Insights and Trends**:

- Stay up-to-date with the latest consumer research methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Identify and assess emerging consumer trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
- Use consumer insights to guide product development, marketing strategies, and decision-making processes.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with product development, marketing, and other teams to integrate consumer insights into product innovation and development processes.
- Provide guidance and support to teams in translating consumer research findings into actionable recommendations.
- **Research Reporting and Communication**:

- Prepare comprehensive research reports, presentations, and visualizations to effectively communicate research findings to stakeholders.
- Present research findings to internal teams, management, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Clearly articulate the implications of research findings and their impact on business strategies.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Master's in Sensory Science, Consumer Science, Psychology, Market Research, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in consumer research, sensory evaluation (possibility to learn on the job), and market research methodologies.
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex research findings to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
