About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Researcher to join our Sensory and Consumer Science Team at Imperial Brands PLC. As a key member of our team, you will play a lead role in supporting and facilitating consumer research activities to gain valuable insights into consumer preferences, behaviors, and experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sensory contact for internal and external stakeholders for defined product categories, assuming responsibility for specific projects cross-categories.
  • Transfer knowledge of learning and consultancy regarding appropriate sensory options to external and internal stakeholders, including staying up-to-date with advancements in sensory science and adapting for business requirements/needs.
  • Interface between consumer perception and client needs (Marketing, Manufacturing) from a sensorial market perspective.
  • Methodology transfer to and training of agencies to conduct standardized sensory research.
  • Initiate, implement, review, and optimize new consumer research tools/non-standard methodologies in close collaboration with research manager.
  • Supervise sensory research designs for qualitative and quantitative product and consumer research, including leading, designing, and conducting consumer research in the dedicated consumer center facility.
Requirements
  • Strong background and experience in sensory product and market research and interaction between product & consumer.
  • Fluent in German and English, both writing and speaking.
  • High-level knowledge of statistical analysis and methods of market research with excellent PC knowledge (Microsoft Office & SAS/SPSS, XLStat).
  • Excellent analytical thinking and project/stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent team working and prioritization skills.
  • Curious, flexible, and organized way of working and ability to handle several projects at the same time.
