**Job Description**:
Our **Engineers **support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation

Reporting into the Technology Center AH Director you are responsible for fit for purpose engineering design of facilities for our animal health capital projects.

You and your team are responsible for the design and construction of complex manufacturing facilities, where operators can produce our products in a safe and compliant manner. You are responsible for leading a group of approx. 5 Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in the field of Facility Engineering and act as a Facility Lead Engineer for larger projects. You and your team work closely together with (lead) process engineers and project managers.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**
- Act as a Facility Lead Engineer in large projects if required
- Building and maintain close collaborations with leaders and SME’s of the GES Technology Center
- Coaching the engineers in the team and assure delivery of technical excellence in investment projects
- Developing expert knowledge on the facility engineering discipline, including sustainability
- Actively support off-site and modular construction principles
- Developing and maintaining relationships with design and construction partners
- Maintaining and further building out the knowledge center for biological decontamination of rooms and facilities
- Identifying key design issues and develop them into learnings and updated procedures and standards
- Being part of, or assign a SME to, the team that is responsible for updating procedures and standards
- Maintaining together with the estimating group financial key numbers on facility related units

**Your profile**
- A relevant Bachelor or master’s degree (Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering)
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in matching industries (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Vaccines, (nutritional) Food) gaining relevant experience as Facility Lead Engineer in Capital projects in large capital-intensive industries where modular and off-site construction has been applied
- Experience in leading a group of Subject Matter Experts (hierarchical and/or functional);
- Knowledge and experience on sustainability
- Ability to think and design in system modularity, off site facility and skid construction
- You must have high level insight in the construction process of pharmaceutical or food facilities and equipment as well as equipment integration in a building
- Excellent command of the English language and a good understanding of the German language, or willingness to learn
- Willing to travel at least 25% of the time for project assignments
- Willingness to be transferred to Unterschleissheim for a project duration (expected to be 3 years)
