**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**
As a Team Lead Commercial Controller for our retail stores, you will play a crucial role in merging commercial and operational planning responsibilities. You will lead a small team of 2 controllers, who are responsible for planning, reporting and analyses.
By working closely with the leaders group, managing directors and business stakeholders, you will support decision-making through in-depth analyses and the development of business cases tailored to various strategic needs. Moreover, you will be responsible for our pricing strategy. Additionally, you will present business results to both the management team and stores, ensuring that complex information is communicated in a clear and understandable manner.
In this role, you will lead planning cycles and serve as a key contact person for other team members, ensuring that all planning and reporting structures are robust and scalable to meet the demands of our growing business. Additionally, you will maintain close alignment with the wider Zalando organisation, driving efficient planning processes that support our broader business goals and anticipate future needs.

- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to provide analyses and develop business cases for various strategic initiatives.
- Lead and manage planning cycles, ensuring seamless execution and communication within the team.
- Be responsible for our pricing strategy and its further development.
- Act as the primary contact person for other team members, providing guidance and support on planning and reporting tasks.
- Interpreting data and deriving recommendations for action
- Ensure the scalability of planning and reporting structures to accommodate the needs of a growing business.
- Align planning processes with the broader Zalando organisation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Continuously improve and optimise planning tools and frameworks to meet future business demands.
- Lead and mentor a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
**WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**
- You have 4+ years of relevant working experience in a controlling or data-intensive analytics role, retail / e-commerce experience is a plus
- You have strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, operational excellence, and strategic planning.
- You bring strategic commercial thinking to the table, along with sharp analytical skills and a critical eye. You have strong technical skills in Excel, GSuite and a BI tool. Knowledge of Tableau is a strong plus.
- You have great communication skills and can drive projects with different teams across the organisation. You are business-fluent in English.
- You have a proactive, independent working style with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset
