Do you want to work in Molecular Devices’ **European Sales Drug Discovery** team, promoting the Durg Discovery product range? Do you enjoy intellectual challenges and teamwork helping Molecular Devices’ customers advance their discoveries?

We are currently seeking an **Account Manager Drug Discovery for Central/South Germany and Austria** who will be responsible achieving regional sales target within budget constraints to contribute to the overall corporate sales growth and strategic objectives.

**What we’ll get you doing**:

- Achieve assigned sales targets while remaining within the established expense budget and providing customer satisfaction
- Direct Territory Deliverables
- Achieve Annual Quota in designated territory
- Achieve Monthly Quota in designated territory
- Provide prompt and accurate forecasts as requested
- Participate to programmed funnel reviews and marketing reviews when requested
- Provide all reports when requested by manager within set timescales/deadlines
- Develop and maintain accurate Territory Plan
- Identify, qualify, develop, support and close sales of the Molecular Devices Drug Discovery system portfolio
- Prepare and present basic product demonstrations, also in a team with the dedicated Application Scientist, to existing and potential customers.
- Develop, update, and maintain to a high degree of accuracy and integrity, the prospect database (SFDC) and existing customer list and monitor sales growth
- Close liaison with the rest of the team to ensure magnificent customer support from initial interest to post-sales support
- Evaluate effectiveness of Molecular Devices’ marketing programs
- Provide monthly revenue and product forecasting, quarterly plans of action, status, and expense reports
- Attend trade shows, seminars and workshops as well as maintaining customer contacts to develop and improve sales skills
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Take ownership for own personal development and know about the market and competition

**The essential requirements of the role include**:

- BSc degree or higher, preferably in life science technology with a (molecular) biology background or equivalent
- At least 3 years sales experience in relevant field. Must be able to demonstrate ability to develop a sales territory & achieve target consistently
- Shown success in direct sales of high value capital equipment to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and government research laboratory customers
- Essential - excellent English & German language skills
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, research & problem solving

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:

- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
- MS-Teams, SFDC and MS-Power BI knowledge
- Be highly motivated with demonstrative interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills
- The ability to work with a high degree of independence, self-starters
- Ability to work together in a constructive way with peers, subordinates, and seniors in anticipating and resolving issues
